Alex is the programmer behind the SAGMILLING.COM website. The tools hosted on this site are the same ones he uses in his consulting business. Over 18 years of experience in engineering consulting and project engineering roles give him insight into how mines are developed and to the kinds of problems that must be solved to achieve a successful design.

Derek Barratt, P.Eng

Derek is a respected expert comminiton consultant with worldwide experience on crushing and grinding projects. He was one of the first people to develop a method of sizing semi-autogenous grinding mills from bench-scale testwork, and his application of the Bond work index testwork results (crushing, rod milling and ball milling) reveal rock breakage characterists that are as valid today as they were over fifty years ago when the work index concept was first developed.
